Definition of Culture

Culture is the totality of socially generated and transmitted behavioral patterns, such as, but not limited to: intellectual, educational, philosophical, scientific, ethical, economical, political and artistic productions and activities; in support of any and all social beliefs, institutions, and all other products of a humankind (womankind and mankind), civilization, activities and thoughts. The said patterns, characters, and behaviors resulting in the production of social products are considered to be the expression of a particular society, period, class, community, or population. These patterns, traits, and products are measured with respect to a particular historic time and category, such as a field, subject, time, and or mode of expression: Ethical Culture, Musical Culture and so on.
